Every year, the No Dog Left Behind Rescue Calendar Contest is made possible by generous local businesses that believe in giving back to their community. This year's contest wouldn't be the same without them, and I'm excited to introduce each of the incredible businesses that have donated prizes to help support the rescue's mission.

Handmade with Heart

One of my favorite things about discovering small businesses is finding people who create products that simply make you smile, and that's exactly how I felt when I came across Valdo Chicks.

From nourishing body butter to handcrafted bookmarks, greeting cards (that made me giggle when I read them), feather ornaments, and even dog accessories, their collection is full of thoughtful items that make wonderful gifts, whether you're shopping for someone else or treating yourself.

Everything has a handcrafted, personal feel that reminds you why shopping small is so special. Instead of mass-produced products, you're supporting someone's creativity and passion, and I am all about that.

A Business I Couldn't Wait to Try

As I was putting together this year's Calendar Contest, I found myself browsing through Valdo Chicks' products... and before long, I was placing an order of my own.

There were so many fun, unique items that I couldn't wait to try for myself. I always enjoy supporting the businesses that support this fundraiser, and I'm excited to experience their products firsthand.

I have a feeling this won't be my last order.
